Hi, my name is Kumar, and in this video I will demonstrate Dashboard Widgets.
We will see how to add a new Dashboard item to the Dashboard and the basic action that can be performed on the item. You may use various Dashboard items for data visualization such as Chart, Geo Point Maps, Cards, Choropleth Maps, Grid, Gauges, Pies, Pivot, and Range. These data visualization items represent UI elements used to display the data within the Dashboards.
Please note, the iVend Dashboard also provides the Image and Text Box dashboard items used to display static images or text within the Dashboards.
Now, to create a Dashboard item, you need to go to Dashboard Designer. So, let us go to iVend Management Console. In iVend Management Console, go to Reports, then under submenu Designer Label, select option Dashboard Designer. Dashboard Search screen appears. Here, click on New button. Dashboard Setup window will appear. Give a Code and Description. Then, click on Design Dashboard button and Dashboard Designer screen appears.
Here, click the corresponding button in the Ribbon or the Toolbar like Pivot, Grid, Chart, Pies, and so on. Let us click on Pivot. This creates an empty dashboard item and displays the required data sections for binding this item to data. So, in order to design Dashboard item, you need to bind the Dashboard item to Data.
Also, you will require to perform the required data shaping operations such as grouping, sorting, and filtering. You can use the Interactive T feature to enable interaction between various Dashboard items and you can adjust the Dashboard items position and size and specify the Dashboard items caption setting.
So, this was just the overview of Dashboard Widgets. Keep watching subsequent Dashboard videos for more Dashboard activities and features.
With this, we end our session.
Thank you for watching this video.
