OPOS receipt printer not working

Hi,

I am using iVend 6.5.5 and have a problem with an OPOS compliant OPOS Printer. The printer works in different software using OPOS, but in iVend the device does not work at all. I have installed the OPOS Common Control Object from C:\Program Files (x86)\CitiXsys\Ivend Retail\Common, but still the device fails to initialize.

The device I am using is a Sewoo SLK-TE202. I have downloaded and installed the latest OPOS drivers from teh manufacturer web site as well, but still no luck. Attached is teh POS log file containing the error on hardware initialization

Hi Eddie,

I have the same printer for my testing, and it's working fine.

You may check following point:

- Test OPOS printer from OPOS ultility (They have application name SetupPOS to configure)

- In the hardware registration of ReceiptPrinter, enter the DeviceName = same as device name in OPOS Ultility (using Device Name, not Logical Device Name)

- Make sure your POS is using right hardware profile, print profile.

Thank you Frank. Your suggestion worked perfectly. Must be something wrong with the OPOS utility preventing iVend from reading the LDN.
