Managing Mass Emails using the Mailing Manager

The mailing manager allows you to send mass emails to all registered customers who have agreed to accept email notifications.

To access this feature, log in as an administrator and click E-mail >> Mailing Manager from the Configuration menu.

Creating a Mass Mailing

To send a mass email to customers, fill in the following fields and click Submit

Note: Sending bulk emails can take some time.  Click the Submit button only once.

 

 

Field Name

Description

Subject*

This will be the subject line sent to your customers.

Test Only*

If this is set to yes, only one email will be sent, to the email address of the currently logged in admin user. Use this to verify that the email appears as you want when sent.

Customers with orders only

If this is set to yes, only customers who have completed purchases on your site will be notified via email.

Export List to CSV*

If Yes, it exports the customer information list in a CSV format.

Newsletter

If this is set to yes, the email will only go to customers who have registered for your Newsletter.

Message Body

This field holds the contents of the email. You can write the message here or copy/paste it from another source. The message can contain HTML, entered by clicking the <> icon on the toolbar.

Footer

The contents of the footer will appear at the bottom of the email. You can change this through the topics page.

Asterisk (*) denotes mandatory fields

Removing a Customer from the Mailing List

At the bottom of this page, there is a form that can be used to remove a customer from your mailing list if desired. Simply put in their email address and click Submit.
